Still water and a pier at sunrise

Explore

Around the lake.

There is plenty to do in Lake Geneva. There is also a lawn, a pier, and a chair with your name on it.

On the water

Rent a pontoon, a paddleboard, or a kayak from the marinas around the lake. Lake Geneva Cruise Line runs tours from the Riviera docks downtown, past the old estates.

The shore path

A public path follows the shore for 21 miles, right across the lawns of the old estates. Start downtown or at Big Foot Beach and walk as far as you like.

Downtown Lake Geneva

Four miles away. Restaurants, shops, the Riviera, and the beach at Big Foot Beach State Park.

Golf and more

Public and resort courses ring the lake. In Williams Bay, Yerkes Observatory gives tours of its great telescope. Wineries are close, and there is a magic show downtown.

The long weekends

Memorial Day opens the season. The Fourth brings fireworks over the lake. Labor Day closes it out. Fall has Oktoberfest, and winter has Winterfest and its snow sculptures.

Dinner next door

The Getaway is a short walk away, at the French Country Inn next door. Come back for the sunset.
